Please & Thank You Monthly Update: January 2025

I Am So Sorry For What I Have Done

Oops. I got in trouble for last month's newsletter. Apparently, it was far too short. I checked the statistics and readership was way down. I've got nobody to blame but myself. A lot of my fans (you, the readers) wrote to me and complained that the newsletter was just too succinct and condensed and for that, I apologize. I'm sorry I let you down. I know you've come to expect a certain level of quality from these monthly missives and I've failed you. I've failed my employer. I've failed myself.

If you can find it in your heart, please forgive me. I beg of thee. I am on mine hands and knees crying out to ye. Tears moisten my windburned cheek. A great sadness weighs down my brittle bones. I am naught but a tormented supplicant. If you cannot forgive me for what I have done, I understand. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive myself, but maybe, just maybe, I might be able to win you back with a beautiful poem I wrote about how I'm feeling.

Sorrow's night extends beyond
No happy bird to sing its song
No gilded light from candle glows
I wander thither where no one goes

Alone I crawl through stinging thorn
I've befouled my life and earned my scorn
An outcast from the common man
Cursed to travel this wretched land

Do not weep for me out here
'Twas my own mind that chose to steer
Far from the path of truth and good
Into this wild and brutal wood

Hither I spend my solemn days
Betwixt sadness and great malaise
I've but one wish and 'tis for thee
Go to a concert as a VIP

Fare thee well
