Please & Thank You Monthly Update: July 2024

Whatever Floats Your Boat

Did you even know that it’s July right this very second? I’m pretty sure that’s true wherever you are on this big blue marble we call earth. It really makes you think, doesn’t it? Well, think about this beautiful poem I wrote.

Relax thy bones
Relax thy flesh
My swimming shorts
Are lined with mesh

A refreshing dip
In yonder pool
I look so good
I look so cool

And so can you
If you follow me
To a concert
As a VIP

Dulcet tones
A sweet delight
An enchanted time
This summer night

Another slam dunk from me, the world’s most beautiful poet. Another hole in one. Another A+. I know I’m not being graded on my poetry, but if I were, this one would get an A+. But who cares about me? This is about you. This is your sign to go swimming and then go to a concert. I know my incredible poem makes that clear, but some people don’t like reading poetry so I’m writing here just in case.

Please & Thank You Monthly Update: June 2024

Born To Grill

It’s June. It’s Pride Month. I’m hot. I’m sweaty. I’m hungry. You know what that means. It’s time to fire up the grill and enjoy some delicious, homemade hamburgers.

What’s that? You don’t like hamburgers? That’s alright. I can grill other things too. I’m not a one-hit wonder when it comes to grilling. Yeah, I grill the best burgs (short for burgers) in town, but I also make a mean grilled corn cob, a mean grilled egg salad, a mean grilled pepperoni pizza Hot Pocket®, and a mean grilled cheese.

So please, come on over and enjoy some of my home-cooked delights. I’ll be here all month. After we’ve stuffed ourselves with savory grilled morsels, why don’t we wash our hands, brush our teeth, put on our favorite blouses, and head out yonder for a wild, unforgettable evening? Of course, the best way to have a wild, unforgettable evening is by going to a spectacular concert and this time of year yields some truly great options. Trust me. I know what I’m talking about. I’m extremely smart and cool and strong and handsome.

Please & Thank You Monthly Update: May 2024

May Is The Most Mysterious Month

Please imagine me clearing my throat and sitting beautifully in front of a crowd of my adoring fans (you) while I recite this exquisite poem that I wrote by myself without help from anybody else.

How many days
In the month of May?
Scientists
May never say

Try as they might
Both day and night
They cannot get
The answer right

May is the most
Mysterious month
Filled with ghosts
And treasure hunts

So good luck to ye
On your journey
To a concert
As a VIP

I bet you didn’t think I’d be able to tie-in music or concerts or VIP packages into my poem about the number of days in the month of May, did you? Well, shame on you for doubting me.

I am the preeminent poet of this generation. I am a true artist, and speaking of artists, please don’t miss your chance to see some of this season’s most iconic tours and events by some of the world’s most entertaining artists. For more information, check out the full newsletter.

Meg Pollaro, a 17-year veteran, has made significant contributions across sports & entertainment, creating unforgettable experiences and innovative brand partnerships. Her career progressed from notable roles at CAA and WME/Endeavor, where she launched the Endeavor Experiences division, to leading Business Development at Superfly. Jason Barrett will serve as Vice President of Strategy and Development at Please & Thank You, where he will draw on his 18-year experience helping artists, managers, and agents seek out opportunities that move beyond short-term partnerships and into long-term wealth-generating deals. As General Manager of WMX (Warner Music Group), Jason has identified, managed, and grown various revenue lines for the WWE, Jack Harlow, Cardi B, Teddy Swims, Shawn Mendes, 21 Pilots, and countless others.

Started by Eddie Meehan, Please & Thank You is a collective of individuals specializing in VIP events & experiences, brand partnerships, digital solutions, and commerce & logistics to help clients curate, collaborate, and execute an unforgettable experience for fans. Meehan’s nuanced understanding of fan engagement and the art of celebrity/fan interactions has made him an industry leader in providing unparalleled experiences for the biggest names in music, including Drake, Justin Timberlake, and Nicki Minaj, and their fans.

In 2018, Meehan’s fan engagement agency Wonderful Union – which he started in Sacramento, CA, and built into a truly global agency with fully staffed offices in Nashville, Tokyo, and Toronto – was acquired by Endeavor, who took advantage of the company’s imaginative understanding of VIP experiences to expand their VIP operations across the entire agency. At Endeavor, Meehan introduced experiential campaigns to the UFC, Miss Universe, Professional Bull Riding, and The Masters, to name a few.

“We are very excited to welcome Jason and Meg to the Please & Thank You team,” says Meehan. “They’re both industry leaders and their combined capabilities will undoubtedly be a great resource for our employees and clients worldwide.”

“Please & Thank You is at the forefront of fandom culture, and I’m thrilled to help this team give fans all over the world permission to be obsessed with the icons they love,” says Pollaro. “Our unique position, relationships, and expertise allow us to forge innovative partnerships that deepen fans’ connections to their most beloved artists and brands.”

“I’m grateful for all the years at Warner Music Group and all the people and artists I’ve been able to work with,” says Barrett. “That journey has led me to Please & Thank You, which I couldn’t be more excited about. The team has decades of experience, specializing in the artist-to-fan connection and creating memorable moments that last a lifetime. I’m honored to be a part of this and excited for what’s to come.”
